Hawker perfect plus motive power batteries provide a high level of power and reliability for all industrial truck applications, from simple applications with a low capacity loading up to heavy duty multi-shift applications.

Why Hawker perfect plus ?

Hawker perfect plus cells provide a higher efficiency in discharge to most other brands, achieved by advanced components used in the construction of the positive plates. The sizing of the positive and negative plates has been optimised according to the volume available in the cell box. The process of filling the positive plates has been improved. All these technical enhancements have enabled an increase in the cell capacities while keeping the same exterior dimensions. The Hawker perfect plus DIN & BS range is at the highest technology level of European standards DIN/EN 60254 and IEC 254-2.

Cell Construction

All Hawker perfect plus cells use robust tubular plate vented technology, ideally suited for high cyclic use under todays demanding shift applications. The tubular positive electrodes are diecast using the highest technology equipment available and together with the advanced components and materials used in their manufacture, provide increased efficiency and longer life than most competitors product in the market. The cell box and lid are made from high impact, temperature resistant polypropylene and heat-seal welded to prevent electrolyte leakage.

Terminals & Connectors

The specially designed bolt-on take off terminals of the cell are mounted through a secure rubber seal. The cells are joined by fully insulated flexible and halogen free perfect plus connectors. This combination ensures that no electrolyte can leak from the cells causing corrosion around the top of the battery. It also means a significant reduction to the exposure of any lead outside the cell and securely insulates against any possible arcing points which enhance operator safety. The bolt-on connectors also allow cells to be replaced or moved without excessive work using the most simple tools and eliminating the dangers of dangerous flame and hot work.

The cell lid is equipped with holes for the installation of the electrolyte circulation system, temperature sensors and water probes.

Flip Top Filler Caps

As standard, all batteries are fitted with our unique flip top manual filling cap. These caps incorporate electrolyte level markings, a safe anti-surge baffle for the electrolyte during operation and allow adequate escape of charging gas during recharge.

Hawker Aquamatic

The Aquamatic water refill system makes it possible to top up all the individual cells of a battery from one central point using an integrated cap and tubing system. This system saves you valuable time and money maintaining your fleet. The Aquamatic caps automatically ensure the optimum filling level, stopping the flow of water when the level is correct, avoiding any damaging overfill. Inspection points in the cap also allow measurement of the electrolyte specific gravity. The Aquamatic filling system can be expertly fitted at the factory or on site to existing batteries if required.

Airlift electrolyte circulation

The Hawker electrolyte circulation system, using the Airlift principle, consists of a pipe system fitted inside each cell. A small air pump option in the Hawker HF charger sends a low rate airflow into the cell during recharge which creates a circulating air stream inside the cell box. This system can prevent electrolyte stratification whilst optimising the charging process.

Hawker WiIQ

 

The Hawker WiIQ has been developed by EnerSys to allow full monitoring of your battery operation. This small device will record battery voltage, Ah in and out, temperature, voltage balance, depth of discharge, number of cycles, low water events, discharge time, idle time and recharge time. The memory allows over 2,500 cycles of data which can be downloaded wirelessly from a PC or laptop using the WiIQ Reporting Suite software for comprehensive report generation. This data is valuable to ensure your asset is being utilised and maintained correctly for maximum life.
